Please carefully read the following guidelines before submitting your abstract.

Method of submission 

Abstracts can be submitted only via the Online Abstract Submission Form. Upon submission, a confirmation email will be sent to the submitter’s email address. If you do not receive the confirmation e-mail, please check your spam folder and do not submit the abstract again. Instead, please contact us at info@mzhg.org.mk for advice.

Abstract guidelines

All abstracts must be submitted and presented in English. Abstract cannot exceed a limit of 250 words (excluding title, authors and affiliations). Each author can be the first author in only 1 abstract.

All abstracts should adhere to the following format:
-backgorund
-materials and methods
-results
-conclusions

Standard abbreviations do not require an explanation otherwise all abbreviations must be defined in brackets after their first use in the text. Figures, graphs, images, diagrams and references should not be included in the abstract.

Important notes

It is the author’s responsibility to submit a correct abstract. No further editing or proofreading will be done by the Scientific commitee, so any errors in spelling, grammar or scientific facts will be reproduced as typed by the author.

The abstracts will be presented in electronic form and will be published in a supplement of Balkan Journal of Medical Genetics. The authors of submitted abstracts agree with publication of their abstracts without further reviewing. If changes to your submitted abstract are necessary please contact us by the email address above at any time before the deadline. Please do not submit your abstract more than once.

Please note that registration of the presenting author is mandatory. The deadline for the presenting author’s registration and payment of a registration fee is September 11th, 2023. If the presenting author has not registered and has not completed the payment of the registration fee by this date, the presentation will be withdrawn from the programme.

If you need to withdraw your abstract, a written statement listing the reasons for this decision must be sent to the BCHG scientific committee until 11.09.2023. Withdrawals after this date cannot be accepted.

Multiple submissions with identical presenting authors will be automatically rejected.

Identical submissions from different first authors will also be automatically rejected.

Abstracts containing no results or the appropriate structure will be rejected.

Аbstract submitters agree that their personal data are being saved and used by the organiser in order to process the submission, enable the presentation at the conference and the later publication of the abstract in the Journal.
